After leaving Vance AFB I did the survival and upgrade schools as we all did. Reported for duty at Travis AFB in California as a KC-135 co-pilot. I met Paula Cotter in 1977 and we were married that same year. Paula was a weather observer at Travis and is originally from upstate New York. We stayed at Travis until my DOS in April 1980. I was hired by Delta Air Lines in September 1980 and was based at Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. On October 29, 1980 our first son Matthew was born. Our second son Kevin was born in Plano, Texas on October 17, 1984. In November 1986 we moved to the Atlanta area. Since then we have been at the same address. My career at Delta has been B-727 S/O, B-737 F/O, B-767/757 F/O, B-737 Capt, B-767ER F/O, B-737 Capt, MD-88 Capt, and currently (for the last five years) B-767/757 Capt.

Our son Matt is a graduate of Georgia State University and works and lives in Atlanta. Our son Kevin is in his second year at Georgia Tech studying computer science. He is on track to graduate next May and wants to continue at Tech and get his Masters.

Paula and I are adjusting to being "empty nesters." With the boys gone, our attention is demanded by our cat Lizzie (the Hell Bitch) and Paula’s Pappion named Chase. We enjoy our cabin on nearby Lake Allatoona and are also active in our church’s St.Vincent De Paul Society.
