Who
let the dogs out? : ) |
Upon
watching Vance Air Patch fade in my rear view mirror as fast as I could
make it go away, I headed for the survival schools we all had to attend.
It was then on towards the F-4E, Mac Dill AFB and sunny Florida. Six
months later I was in Osan AB in lovely South Korea freezing off my six
o'clock. It wasn't until we had a deployment to Clark AB in the
Philippines that I decided, it was there where I was meant to be.
After a six month voluntary extension and an eighteen month tour at
Clark I Form 90'd a request to stay warm and instruct at
Mac Dill. Homestead was a nice secondary choice though. Two plus years
later I requested an F-15 to Langley AFB, Va. but the AF said they had
a seat for me in the Pentagon. I laughed all the way out the front
gate. I joined the Makos down the street and retired with twenty years eleven
years ago having slipped the surly bonds of earth in the F-4E/D/C and the
F-16 A/B. Air Florida, Northeastern Int'l Airways and Midway were my
next stops along the way till I landed safely {so far} at Northwest
Airlines. I'm in my twentieth year and fly the A-320/19. I Met
Genie after arriving at Homestead and asked the native Floridian to marry me
three weeks later. We got married three months later. It was
Twenty-five years together this past May. Jeff is now 22 and Lisa, attending
the Univ. Of Florida is 19. Retirement can't come fast enough......
the Islands beckon my attendance.
Sincerely
hope to see everyone at the reunion in June
