After leaving God's country in '75, USAF sent me west to
Travis AFB and five good years in the C-141 and northern California.
I was married in 1980, am currently single, and have three beautiful girls -
all young women now. Celeste is married to Wes, lives very close by, and
has a daughter and son. Julia, my bug, also lives and works nearby.
Courtney, the baby, graduates from Univ North Carolina Chapel Hill in May, and
starts grad school a week later.
Separation from the Air Force in 1980 led to some flight instructing, school
teaching, some prisoner transport for Tulare County, CA, in Aero Commanders,
and then to People Express Airlines in June, 1982. I left for Piedmont
Airlines in June, 1987. Piedmont was folded into USAirways, and that's
where I am today. Since 1982, other than working for world peace,
opposing corporate malfeasance, accepting and declining various awards and
honors, working on the cure for cancer, and taking long walks in the moonlight
on the beach, I've basically flown the 737, except for a three-year
stint as a Boeing 767 International First Officer.
Charlotte, NC, has been home since 1988. About twelve years ago I got
into Model A Fords through the purchase of a car that had belonged to my
grandfather, and now thoroughly enjoy the hobby.
It's a pleasure to say that I am Godfather to Gary and Paula Adkisson's son,
Matt, and they are Godparents to my daughter Courtney. Gary and I spent
time running around during the Travis days. I'm hoping to bring some of
his bachelor party pictures to the reunion. I also need to say even though UPT
graduation was thirty years ago my folks still occasionally ask about Higbee,
Kirkland, and Hal Davis.
My best to you all. Danny Enos
