After graduation, I stayed at Vance as a T-38 IP. Next I flew F-4C/D/E/G at MacDill and Spangdahlem. Next was the F-5B/E/F at Williams AFB followed by the F-16A/B/C/D at MacDill and Hahn Airbase. I mixed in schools (SOS, ACSC, MBA, AWC) and a one year remote staff in Korea and managed to fly for 17 of 21 years. I retired in Feb 95 and I've been flying for Southwest Airlines since then. Fortunately, Pat stayed at home to raise the children and once they were on their own she started a successful florist business in 1998. As if that wasn't enough to do, she decided to become a Southwest Flight Attendant last year and the first time we got to fly together was Christmas - as seen in the photo above. You may remember our son, Kevin, was born during pilot training and our daughter, Keri, was born after pilot training. Kevin married Kamdon Callaway of Colorado Springs and they have a daughter, Ainsley. Kevin flies the F-15C at Langley AFB and completed the Fighter Weapons School in December. Keri married Jeremy Ryan and they own Paris Media Group, an advertising company in Ft. Worth, Texas. I'm building an airplane and you can see the progress at www.rv-8a.net. Progress on the plane is relatively slow right now but the pace will pick up and I hope to finish by Feb 06. Pat and I are not particularly looking forward to retirement. In fact, I don't plan to retire in the traditional sense. We both enjoy working and will likely work for many years to come.
Our granddaughter, Ainsley
